Exposition
The main focus of the museum is influenced by its collections and two permanent expositions: Agriculture of the district of Nové Stracecí and Celts in the region of Nové Strašecí. Exposition Celts in the region of Nové Strašecí was created in 2007 as a reminder of the important European Celtic locations surrounding the town of Nové Strašecí. The leading Czech archeologist and specialist of the La Tene period Dr. Natalie Venclová is an author of the screenplay. First of all, it presents the story of finding of the famous limestone head of the Celt near to wall complex of Mšecké Žehrovice.
Interactive archaeological exposition includes a replica of a Celtic dwelling, model of the wall complex, pottery furnace, metallurgical works or workshops of švartna jewelry, which is specific to this area usually called by archeologist as an industrial region of Celtic Europe of the 3rd century BC. N. L. Museum has also one exhibition room for temporary exhibitions of local artists and exhibitions of museum character. Regularly museum offers programs for schools, organizes lectures, competitions, Advent concerts and public events, among which is the most popular Day with Celts, that every year reminds the anniversary of the finding of a limestone head of the Celt.
